2007 Financial Report

During 2007 we took in $185 more than we spent. This is a good thing, but left us little room to make donations to good Peace Corps related programs as we have in the past. For this reason and others we have decided to save the costs of our printed newsletter and offer an email version only, and this is the first issue. Traditionally at the end of each year we have held onto enough money to see us through one more year, regardless of the income we would receive for that year. This year we project operating expenses somewhere between $500 and $1000 (probably closer to $500). With a starting balance of more than $3200, we can budget $2000 for a donation that we plan to make later this spring or early summer. You’ll all be asked for ideas in March. We have also decided to forgo collecting dues from those members who do not belong to the NPCA.
